Why QC Photos Matter
Once your items leave the MuleBuy warehouse, returning them becomes expensive and time-consuming. Quality Control photos are your only opportunity to verify that what you ordered matches what the supplier promised. Skipping QC review is the single biggest regret among first-time buyers.
Universal QC Checks (All Categories)
For every item, request these standard shots: a front flat lay, a back flat lay, a close-up of any logo or print, a material texture close-up, and a measurement photo with a tape measure. These five shots catch the majority of common issues: print misalignment, material substitution, size discrepancies, and construction flaws.

- Material texture close-up for fabric verification
- Measurement photo with visible tape measure
Category-Specific Additions
Shoes require a sole photo under natural light, a heel tab close-up, and an insole measurement. Hoodies and sweaters need a back embroidery photo, a drawstring tip close-up, and an inside fleece texture shot. T-shirts benefit from a collar rib close-up and a print-registration check against the seams. Jackets need zipper pull engravings, a lining material photo, and a fill distribution shot for down pieces.
How to Request Additional Photos
MuleBuy's standard QC includes basic shots, but you can request additional angles for a small fee — typically $0.50 to $1.00 per extra photo. For high-ticket items or first-time orders from an unknown supplier, the additional photo cost is negligible compared to the risk of receiving a flawed item.
Common QC Red Flags
Be alert for these warning signs in QC photos: blurry or low-resolution images that hide details, photos taken at angles that obscure flaws, inconsistent lighting that masks color issues, and missing shots that you specifically requested. If any of these appear, request retakes before approving the item.
